Roses and Tulips


It was a beautiful morning, after all the rain the sun was out for 7 hours before the storm hit. Took a walk with my niece and clicked a few rose pictures at Veterans Park. I want to grow some roses. But where? They need full sun, I am trying to visualize my backyard, and I would have to skip the second lily bed, and that would throw off my entire design. I will get a big pot and get a baby rose that I can bring in, two of them. I just can't justify having roses over design, and I will have the climbing roses over the arbor in a few years.

But, I have figured out my tulip situation. When I widen the day lily beds , I will plant them all in front of them. I hope it will work, maybe I better ask around. I don't want to spend the money, and find out they are not compatible!

When I was weeding Monday, I found a few onions growing!!! I just laughed. Live and learn!!!

I am shot, had a long day, tat walk was a good one, a big uphill for awhile. But, the hamburger was even better tasting ,knowing that I walked for it. My first Gordy Burger in a few years, I always have the fish and slaw. They had raspberry floats!!! If I could of had half I would of spent the money, but two spoonfuls and no more without getting sick. I had them in my cornflakes for dinner! Just the raspberries!!!

Cranberry Wild Rice Bread....MMMMMMMM

INGREDIANTS 1 package active dry yeast 2 1/4 cups warm water (110-115 degrees F). Divided 1/4 cup sugar, divided  1/4 cup molasses 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1 tablespoon salt 2 cups cooked wild rice 1 package Sun-Maid Cape Cod Cranberries, chopped 4 cups Bread flour 2 cups whole wheat flour DIRECTIONS In a mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in 1/2 the warm water, with i/2 the sugar: Let stand for 10 minutes. Add the molasses, oil, and remaining water and sugar: Mix well. Add wild rice and chopped cranberries. In another bowl mix together both flours with 1 tablespoon salt. Ultimate Chocolate, Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

My first ever attempt at making up a baking recipe with out a guide. Even I was astounded when it turned out the first time!!! I will tweak  recipes when I cook, but I'll have the original recipe to guide me. This one is all on me! and it turned out FANTASTIC!!!!! I used the Foil baking pans, they are a little smaller than a regular size loaf pan, so I was able to make two loaves. I'll use the smaller bread pans for selling this Fall at the Schroeder Christmas Bazaar. But as far as Banana Bread goes, this one turned out so moist, and the chocolate did not overpower the banana flavor. INSPIRATION My CAMERA. It may not be the most $$$$$. But it has done me well. I know I have a very good eye. I do wonder what I could achieve with a very good camera and a little guidance, but I'm not doing to bad with what I have! GRAND MARAIS, MINNESOTA.
