Something pretty


A perfect radish was pulled this morning! If I die tonite I will die happy!!! Something grew pretty!!!

I sat outside for a few hours this morning, weeded the sunflowers, things are looking pretty good out back, and I am very pleased so far. A few mistakes, live and learn. But I love what I am doing, I look forward to being back there. I wish I had a laptop. I feel like I am wasting my summer time doing this. So it is time to go back, I will get better at this writing thing when it rains!!!

Cranberry Wild Rice Bread....MMMMMMMM

INGREDIANTS 1 package active dry yeast 2 1/4 cups warm water (110-115 degrees F). Divided 1/4 cup sugar, divided  1/4 cup molasses 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1 tablespoon salt 2 cups cooked wild rice 1 package Sun-Maid Cape Cod Cranberries, chopped 4 cups Bread flour 2 cups whole wheat flour DIRECTIONS In a mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in 1/2 the warm water, with i/2 the sugar: Let stand for 10 minutes. Add the molasses, oil, and remaining water and sugar: Mix well. Add wild rice and chopped cranberries. In another bowl mix together both flours with 1 tablespoon salt. Stir in enough flour to make a soft dough. Turn onto a floured surface: Knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes, add more flour if needed. Place in a greased bowl and let rise in a warm lace until doubled, about 1 1/2 hours. Punch dough down, divide into two loaves, place into greased bread pans. Let rise again until doubled. Ultimate Chocolate, Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

My first ever attempt at making up a baking recipe with out a guide. Even I was astounded when it turned out the first time!!! I will tweak  recipes when I cook, but I'll have the original recipe to guide me. This one is all on me! and it turned out FANTASTIC!!!!! I used the Foil baking pans, they are a little smaller than a regular size loaf pan, so I was able to make two loaves. I'll use the smaller bread pans for selling this Fall at the Schroeder Christmas Bazaar. But as far as Banana Bread goes, this one turned out so moist, and the chocolate did not overpower the banana flavor. INSPIRATION My CAMERA. It may not be the most $$$$$. But it has done me well. I know I have a very good eye. I do wonder what I could achieve with a very good camera and a little guidance, but I'm not doing to bad with what I have! GRAND MARAIS, MINNESOTA. I have yet to learn everything about this small village on the northern shores of Lake Superior. It is a beautiful small village  the big lake on one side, and big forest's on the other.
