Ask me no Questions....

This little corner is my favorite spot this year, so far. The Iris's never bloomed, only one. But that was because I moved them. And the rest is just a dumping ground for the seedlings I thin out from other places. I just like the messy look. I am so happy with how the gardens are doing this year. The weather has been fantastic. Hot days, we could use more rain, but every few days something falls from the sky,. And I always have the hose. I did a bit of re-arranging yesterday. I planted my three mints in the same containers as last year - was not supposed to! They where already root bound, so I yanked them out and put them in new homes. A friend  ? found ? two nice size plastic urns. I painted them a beige for now. Peppermint went in one, Apple in the other. My big orange pot had to many flowers in it, nothing was doing good. I ripped that apart and put my orange mint in it, the rest of the flowers went in the mint pots, and the gardens. I made allot of mistakes this year. Didn't look that way when I was laying everything out. Live another year to get it right. So much wasted space, my barrels are under utilized this year. The nasturtiums crowded out all my herbs. I was able to save the sage, some thyme, and the purple ruffled basil. Everything went into the sunflower garden. Looks healthy and happy after the move. But in the center of all those nasturtiums is a beautiful patch of cilantro, and I don't know what will happen if those nasturtiums keep growing. I planted the wrong ones. I'm scared to dig up the cilantro, don't want to lose it, and I already murdered two beautiful nasturtium plants. Compromise, I just dug up a section and re potted it.Do a little praying and maybe it will survive. I hate calling plants it, that seems so cold.
The vegetables are very happy, all except one tomato plant, she has flowers , but looks like shit, just going to leave it alone. I have six other very healthy ones. Pumpkins and Zucchini are going to be a problem, they scare me, things runners are creeping out every where. Day-lilies are finally showing up! several flower shoots...so happy!!!! And the wildflower mix is lush, except have no idea what is flowers and weeds. But soon, I see buds everywhere. The peas look good except for the Maestro's. Little thin, I think it has been to hot, and for some reason Sweet Peas hate me, again they came up pretty thin, I have no idea?
One of a pair of Urns I painted and threw mints in, as far as there history is concerned ...Ask me no questions, and I will tell you no lies....
But the mints will grow, and I will be able to make candied leaves and a little bit of jelly.
I can pick apart alot of thing I did wrong, but I did a few things right and the garden is growing really well, all the flowers look healthy. And after how much I bitched about the big urn last year not having movement and looking to stiff, I hit the jackpot this year, I love my arrangement. Teaches me to never plan or pick out a picture, thrown together by guessing. And I love it!!!!
