February.... The month where ideas become strange and really dumb! Not saying I have many idea's that are interesting and fun. But once in awhile I get that little guy on my shoulder saying do something stupid! I will not do it... but it makes me wonder... How long it would take to loose all your friends on Face book. One by one ... find the thing that pisses them off and go for the juggler. Just one of those idea's that will never happen. It is just a mean idea...

Garden idea's are much happier ones. Slowly getting that started.... but right now it just doesn't feel like I have got the gardening bug yet. It will happen.

February.... Not a very exciting month. Valentines day? Well buy roses and chocolates this year, next year serve divorce papers. Can you tell I have that life is wonderful attitude?

I spent the evening in the hospital, had another small stroke. Been having lots lately. That is why we are a bit cranky. I have already run out of energy... and this was going to be a really long ramble. Just don't have it in me. These strokes are making me weaker, messing with my brain, and now I can tell my personality is changing. And not for the better!

Life has prepared me for this... Being alone, I won't hurt anyone when I have my tantrums. No one will be responsible for me when I finally become incapacitated. My apartment is set up pretty good for my vision problems. When they start to get worse than they are now, time to get rid of allot of things.

February... This month sucks!

Cranberry Wild Rice Bread....MMMMMMMM

INGREDIANTS 1 package active dry yeast 2 1/4 cups warm water (110-115 degrees F). Divided 1/4 cup sugar, divided  1/4 cup molasses 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1 tablespoon salt 2 cups cooked wild rice 1 package Sun-Maid Cape Cod Cranberries, chopped 4 cups Bread flour 2 cups whole wheat flour DIRECTIONS In a mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in 1/2 the warm water, with i/2 the sugar: Let stand for 10 minutes. Add the molasses, oil, and remaining water and sugar: Mix well. Add wild rice and chopped cranberries. In another bowl mix together both flours with 1 tablespoon salt. Stir in enough flour to make a soft dough. Turn onto a floured surface: Knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes, add more flour if needed. Place in a greased bowl and let rise in a warm lace until doubled, about 1 1/2 hours. Punch dough down, divide into two loaves, place into greased bread pans. Let rise again until doubled. Potato Zucchini pancakes

Zucchini, Potato,Rosemary Pancakes with a Raspberry Chipotle Cream Sauce These are my favorite things in the world to make. When I had a garden, and used just picked herbs and Zucchini...Life in the kitchen was so much fun! I will admit I'm not that great with measuring things when I cook with seasonings, everything is pretty much eye-balled. But I did try to figure them out when I did them to write up. These are so very good you will want to make them all summer long!!!! Ingriedients 2 Cups Zucchini, grated thinly 2 Cups Russet Potato, grated thinly Zest of one lemon Juice of one lemon 1/4 cup Panko bread crumbs  3 cloves minced garlic 2 teaspoons minced Rosemary 2 teaspoons finely chopped Flat leaf Parsley 2 teaspoons finely chopped chives 3 chopped Scallions 2 teaspoons Sea Salt 2 teaspoons Lemon Pepper Mix all together Whisk 2 Eggs with 3 tablespoons heavy cream, Add to above ingredients. A Perfect Day

It is foggy and dark outside. A perfect day to let the mind wander. It is a full day of Julia Child today, that's been fun this morning. I will get to the movie, maybe this week. Julie & Julia I think it's called. But I learned the secret of popovers! You learn something new everyday. Don't use a pan, use separate custard cups, leaving room between them for the heat to circle, and that is what will make them really pop up. I think I will make some on Monday, I will be home for dinner, so I will make popovers and a shrimp salad. I will be able to use fresh peas. And I am making pesto, Have everything I need, think I will freeze in ice cube trays, then use when needed. And If I want fresh pesto, I only need to buy a container of basil, add a few ice cubes, made it stretch. Pick Sage to dry also, and I have a sage that is getting crowded out, gonna have to move that baby to it's own pot. And with this rain, weeds are growing again. I am hoping Monday is a sunny hot day
